This is a hard move to train yourself to do and has to happen much earlier than you think as everything happens so fast if you wait you're too late and it will lead to lots of miss hits as you learn it and that's the issue. Most PGA teachers are outcome biased because their students are, we want simple quick fixes we can take to the course tomorrow, this isn't one of them although that golfer makes it look so but he's very good, I'd love to be able to go to that TPI centre.

So long as you are not using more shaft lean than you have bounce, having the ball back in your stance is absolutely safe and you can hit the ground first. See Dan Grieve book on this method.

Im a self taught golfer which badically means I watched every athletic motion golf video etc to understand the mechanics and film myself. However that approach sometimes puts me into a too robotic mode where I think I need to hit these positions and the tempo and smoothness goes out of the window. This video shows me how important good intuitive coaching is as I tried these things on the video and it automatically changed my swing forever. Thanks!

Great video for PROVING ⛳️💥💥🏌🏾 is not stagnant to the possessed people who think it is, some people have more of a noticeable trigger movement than others. I get criticized lots for Rock’n but most people think I’m swaying, my sequencing and timing works great with Rock’n I’m 47 years old 7 iron goes around 190y 🤷🏽‍♂️.

So. Here goes. I doubt this gets picked up, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Gentleman. I, a new golfer as of last season, shooting around 105 a round, stumbled upon your podcast about 2 months ago and have been binging it every since. I am NOT traditionally a podcast listener, you two have converted me. I am now at season 4, episode 2 and am currently cheering you guys on for the comeback as Mike is changing in the parking lot. I couldn't resist the urge anymore to come here and see your faces for the first time. I have purposely avoided your Twitter and other social medias to avoid any spoilers. But this, I had to do. I just wanted to say, you two are nothing at all what I pictured in my head, but I think this actually makes things so much better. Now you two are real. Human like the rest of us, just 2 guys playing golf and documenting the journey. Not legends or celebrities in my head. (You are though.. legends I mean.) Love the content, can't wait to be caught up so I can hopefully interact more. Keep up the great work. And just for fun.. Stalone vs Arnold. If you had to delete one of them from history, which would it be and why? Cheers gentleman.

I employed this approach starting at the beginning of this season and it's completely transformed my lag putting. I was always pretty good at spending more time on the hole and the line, but it was always inconsistent. Now, I don't even look at the ball at the beginning of my routing: now, I read the break from behind the ball and from the hole, then pace distance from the hole to my ball, set up near my ball and, looking dead at the hole, I take two quick practice swings that are 100% focused on feeling the speed and distance. Then, line my putter up on the line I've chosen for the feel of the speed (this is the only time I'm looking at the ball), focus on the hole for a moment, then find a spot 12-18 inches in front of my ball on my line and hit it over that spot at the speed. If it's shorter or more complicated I might spend a moment or two on aimpoint to help dial in a line, but all in all I'm actually much faster at putting because I have a dialed in routine that has made a huge improvement in my putts per round.

Throughout the show, you guys have moved away from "technical, technical, technical" in order to free up your mind and just swing. But When you say "Lenny, put one minute on the clock" and the video goes 62 seconds...seems like we have become too loose and free and need to get back to the technical. PS. Get well Eli. I also have a ticking time bomb for a hip replacement if I don't treat it right.

Not captured on camera: After consuming, quite possibly, the most ungodly amount of Swaggerty’s sausage, Eli showed up with his hip fully revitalized, and he broke the TPI record for going low in the limbo, contorting under the club being held in front of Mike’s ball.

My whole life I had been blissfully unaware of the mediocrity of the sausage I was consuming. Then I had my first taste of Swaggertys and my life changed. Coach says "staying lower longer" is not only legal, but it might help your chipping game and possibly give you more time to eat your Swaggerty's Pocket Sausage "links for when you're on the links" new brand of sausage that just could be the best golf snack of 2024.
